Wilmslow Triathlon, September 2016
On 18th September members of 391 had another early start at Wilmslow Leisure Centre ready for the annual Wilmslow Triathlon. Each year cadets volunteer to help out at the triathlon as Marshals ensuring the participants are heading the correct way, using the right lanes and that no members of the public stand in the way of them and their personal best!
As is tradition we were on the hunt for the participant with number ‘391’ on their arm and after spotting her and explaining our support, we cheered her on around the course. She was raising money for tommys.org. At the end of the race she thanked us for our support and requested a picture with us. Well done to her! And thank you to all of the cadets who took part.

Charity Collections, 2016
Over the last few months 391 Squadron have been out in the community collecting for different charities, on the 17th September Cadets and Staff took to the streets of Wilmslow with our collection tins and selling goodies to passers-by for the RAF Association (RAFA). In total we raised an amazing £346.14 with the proceeds going towards helping the RAF family.
During the weekend of the 15th & 16th October the whole Wing took part in a Tesco bag pack, we were given the Tesco Extra store in Baguley to collect at. The cadets worked hard and were rewarded with drinks and snacks provided by the store. We raised £300 with the total being split between the National Charity Partnership, RAFA and the individual air cadet units.
Finally, both Wilmslow and Poynton cadets gathered in Alderley Edge to collect for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, we had a great turnout despite the freezing cold weather – many hot drinks were consumed to keep everybody going! Here we raised a grand total of £357.70. Well done and Thank you to everybody who took part in all of the collections!
